OT SESSION: 55 minutes/session; typically weekly or 2x/week depending on the child's needs.
What to expect:
Holistic Occupational Therapy sessions may include using a variety of environments within the community and your space, both inside and outside! Following your child’s plan of care and goals from the initial evaluation, Amber focuses on strength & relationship-based care while staying trauma informed and highlighting your child's interests and uniqueness. If your child has not been formally evaluated by an OT within the past 3 months, that will be the first step before initiating treatment sessions. Momma Earth OT services are cash-based, which allows for highly individualized therapy without the constraints of insurance. Depending on insurance parameters, a superbill can be provided to submit for reimbursement. *Note: If seeking reimbursement from your insurance company, per MN Statute, please note the following: "YOUR HEALTH CARE PROVIDER, INSURER, OR PLAN MAY REQUIRE A PHYSICAL REFERRAL OR PRIOR AUTHORIZATION AND YOU MAY BE OBLIGATED FOR PARTIAL OR FULL PAYMENT FOR OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY SERVICES RENDERED."
Cancellation Policy
Cancelation Policy Enrichment Programs, Education Programs (i.e. Sowing Seeds), and Play Groups: There are no make-up sessions due to the schedule and nature of these offers. If you cancel prior to 48 hrs notice, you may be able to transfer your enrollment to a different group or program ONLY under the discretion of owner Amber Scherkenbach with Momma Earth, LLC. No refunds/credit for missed classes. Individual Consultations and Coaching Sessions: Please cancel or reschedule at least 48 hours in advance. No shows and late cancellations (less than 24 hours notice) will be subject to the full session fee. This is necessary because Amber has made a time commitment exclusively for you during your time slot. You are encouraged to reschedule any appointments you will not be able to attend. For in-person sessions, in the case of illness for yourself, your child, or other household members, an in-home session can be changed to an online session or can be rescheduled. If three late cancellations and/or no shows occur, this may prompt termination of services. ** For cancellation of private therapy: 1. We require 24 hour notice of cancellation of a private therapy session for a re-schedule to be made possible. 2. If cancellation is made the same day of session, we cannot guarantee availability of a makeup session and consequently you would forfeit this session with no reimbursement. 3. Momma Earth, LLC will try to build in floating makeup days to work with you to find a makeup day for the missed session. INCLEMENT WEATHER All Momma Earth events, programs and private therapy will follow the inclement weather and any closures consistent with the public school system closest to us (Bloomington or Richfield, MN School District). So if Bloomington or Richfield School Districts are closed due to poor weather conditions, then Momma Earth, LLC will also be closed. If the school from which you are traveling is closed due to inclement weather, we advise you to stay home. We will work with you to find a makeup session for an inclement weather occurrence. Weather at Momma Earth, LLC for private therapy: We will have sessions during most weather forecasts, utilizing indoor spaces (community or private) if necessary (extreme heat/cold) or advised for safety due to inclement weather. You are advised to ensure your child is wearing clothing that suits the weather conditions. Under conditions of light rain, we will be outside.
